The world renowned old Headquarters of the Birmingham Assay Office in Newhall Street, Birmingham has recently been revamped into an innovative hub for the growing number of creative businesses in the City.

This Grade II listed building was originally used to test and hallmark precious metal items.

However, in 2014 property developer TCN acquired the building and aimed to blend the old and the new in a way that would respect the building’s rich heritage, whilst still attracting forward thinking tech firms.

The responsibility of maintaining the cleanliness of the facility has been placed with We Clean Limited who have provided critical cleaning support during the re-opening and the ongoing building management operation since October of last year.

Contract Manager for we clean, Maureen Francis has forged a strong relationship with the TCN Centre Host, Ally Mitchell who commented:

“I see we clean as an extension of Assay Studio Management Team, I have a great rapport with Maureen and I feel they buy into what we do here, in that we want to maintain the buildings character, and Maureen and her team help us achieve that.”

In a period where there is more office space under construction than ever within Birmingham, The Assay Studios are a refreshing addition to the City’s thriving creative sector – one which Birmingham based we clean are very proud to serve!
