A huge congratulations to Baba Seckan who made his TV debut yesterday evening. Our Lead Housekeeper at Brindley Place Managed Buildings appeared on BBC’s The One Show.

Baba featured on the programme after he became the first person to win the Attendant of the Year award, two years in a row at the annual Loo of the Year Awards.

Baba stole the limelight during the hour long live episode. He was filmed being presented with his Attendant of the Year award, and he then gave a captivating interview in which he explained the dedication needed to succeed in the cleaning industry and the pride he takes in working for we clean.

Nobody deserves the award more than Baba who works tirelessly long days yet manages to stay incredibly positive. This positivity stems from his passion for the cleaning industry, which he’s worked in for over seven years.

Paul Concannon, Director, isn’t surprised with Baba’s success: “Baba works incredibly hard day in, day out, he’s a fantastic professional and everybody within the business is incredibly pleased to see him getting the praise he deserves.”

As an organisation, we are extremely proud that an employee is receiving such great recognition. To win this highly respected National Cleaning Industry Award, two years in a row, highlights what an amazing job Baba continues to do day in, day out.

Here’s to three years in a row!

It is that time of the year when the biggest PANTO in town comes to the Birmingham Hippodrome and here at we clean we are all very ‘proud’ to providing the vital cleaning support to this iconic Birmingham venue for an 11th consecutive year!

The Cleaning Team got together on Friday morning to have their traditional Pre Panto breakfast and motivational briefing from the management team of both we clean and the Hippodrome so as to prepare the TEAM for the ‘unique’ demands placed upon the cleaning regime on site over the next four to five weeks.

The meeting provided the opportunity to make some well-deserved presentations to certain individuals on site including a ‘Dee Richards Pride Award’ for Austin James for his outstanding commitment, reliability and work standards for we clean within this most prestigious contract venue.

In addition, we clean were delighted and honoured to make a 10 Year Service Award presentation to Birdie Simms, who has been employed at the Birmingham Hippodrome & Birmingham Royal Ballet for over 20 years. Birdie TUPE transferred across to we clean in 2006 and has been a very loyal, diligent and enthusiastic employee for the business over the past 10 years and thoroughly deserved this recognition for her outstanding commitment.

Birdie commented: “I love being a part of this team – thank you for having me!”

Finally, all the Cleaning Staff were issued with their new dual branded Company Uniform that proudly displays the new Hippodrome branding – below is our on site Management Duo David Holmes (Cleaning Manager) and his assistant Jessica Crawley modelling the new look!

To all in our Birmingham Hippodrome Cleaning Team, good luck and let’s make this our best PANTO performance yet!

That time of the year has arrived yet again, where we seem to be at an event every other day.

We get distracted with presents, parties and all sorts of festive fun.

Businesses will get caught up with the web of festivities too, which is a great way to indulge in the seasonal activities and generally have a good time.

However, being the host of a party can be a stressful responsibility and cleaning up afterwards can be even more overwhelming.

This is where we clean can step in. Our professional office cleaning operatives know the tricks of the trade to ensure that your office can be back up to running in no time. Below we have listed a few of our top tips:

    Declutter

When you’re faced with the aftermath of the office Christmas party, it can be difficult to know where to begin. A great place to start is by clearing out bits of waste and freeing up surfaces to be wiped down.

Have separate bin bags for waste, paper, and glass recycling so you can sort items as you go. Sorting out the waste while you are decluttering will get two jobs done at once, leaving you with a clearer looking office before you even begin properly cleaning.

    Plan ahead

It may sound a little boring, but a little planning before the party can go a long way when faced with task of tidying up the mess. Placing bins in convenient but discreet places throughout the office party for disposable cutlery and plates, not forgetting placing trays for plates to be placed on when used.

By doing this, you are ensuring that a lot of the mess is already stacked to your convenience when it comes to cleaning up.

    Freshen the air

It’s quite simple to wipe down surfaces and clean up spills but the smell of the party can linger a lot longer. Dot some air fresheners around the office to mask any remaining odours of the party until you can…

    Call the professionals

The most foolproof way to ensure your office is cleaned after the Christmas party is to employ the services of a professional cleaning company. The cleaning teams at we clean are fully trained, highly motivated and professionally presented so as to create the right image for you and your business.
